I. Med Student Panel
Tonight we had a panel of 5 first-year UVA medical students come to the meeting to talk about their experiences, give advice, and answer questions. If you have any other questions for them, feel free to e-mail them at the addresses below!

1. Tina Singh (tks3n@virginia.edu) --> took one year off; majored in bio
2. Emily Binns (eab4w@virginia.edu) --> didn't take time off; biochem major
3. Kira (kmayo@virginia.edu) --> Spanish major; didn't take time off
4. Jon Keung (jjk3g@virginia.edu) --> bioengineering and microbio; didn't take time off
5. Chris Frantz (caf4t@virginia.edu ) --> majored in psychology

II. Upcoming Service Projects
1. Kluge Children's Center Halloween Party
- Friday, October 26th from 5-9 PM
- feel free to come for all or part of the time, and to dress up!
- if you signed up at the meeting, Lillian will be contacting you soon about rides, times, etc.

2. Ronald McDonald House
- Saturday, November 3rd and Friday, November 16th; 4:30-6 PM
- help make dinner for families of pediatric patients!

3. Cedars Nursing Home
- Saturday, November 10th from 3-4 PM
- play bingo with residents!

4. Martha Jefferson Hospital volunteering
- once a week commitment
- Reuben volunteers on Saturdays from 2-5 and could give rides to a few people
- orientation and Tb test required

III. AED National Convention
- will be held in Dallas, TX from March 6-9, 2008 (end of our Spring break)

IV. Dues and t-shirts
- for those of you who paid dues at the meeting tonight and did not receive your t-shirt: we will be ordering more shirts ASAP, so you should have it at the next meeting!
- for those of you who have NOT paid dues yet: you can always leave a $10 check in AED's mailbox (#188) at the Student Activities Center in Newcomb Hall-- just be sure to write your t-shirt size on the memo line and you can pick up your shirt at our next meeting!
